This new league draws inspiration from the FIA GT1 World Championship (however, not by using GT3 spec cars), aswell as some minor things from Indycars, creating a single driver, long and challenging series. It's again a single class, now 100% safety car free GT1 league using the Super GT GT500 car restrictions, where strategy will play a big role, since all races are limited to 300 km, meaning that over the different range of tracks they will be between 95 and 110 minutes long. There will be a Driver's Championship, a Team's Championship and a Makes Trophy for the highest finisher with each car model.
In comparison to the GT1 Challenge the qualifying procedure has also changed. Qualifying will now be taking place directly before the race, having the field split into two groups, running qualifying after another, with the overall results then setting the grid for the race.
All LFS drivers and teams are welcome enter the league. Any team may enter any number of cars between 1 and 4. However, remember that numbers are assigned to teams, not to cars or drivers. To be accepted you need to upload a hotlap with your chosen car to any non-open configuration track on the season schedule.
